A Brief Biography
Originally from the suburbs of New York, my creative journey has been shaped by a lifetime of travel and cultural immersion. I spent several formative years in London, where I studied art and began my family, before a teaching opportunity led us to Indonesia. For nearly two decades, Bali and Southeast Asia became my home and neighbourhood.
My work is a direct reflection of these experiences. The observations gained through traveling, teaching, and immersion into diverse communities have profoundly moulded my perceptions and inevitably found their way into my artistic practice. Having enjoyed a fulfilling career as both an artist and art teacher across Indonesia and Malaysia, I have now settled in County Roscommon, Ireland. Today, I maintain a studio where I create new work; I facilitate workshops at a local arts centre, and exhibit my work around the country and abroad.
''Always remember that the reason that you initially started working was that there was something inside yourself that you felt that if you could manifest it in some way, you would understand more about yourself and how you coexist with the rest of society." - David Bowie
